: People who work in situations where they may be exposed to human blood, like healthcare workers, emergency response personal, lab personnel, and others may be exposed to human blood on a regular basis. Sometimes the blood is infected with bloodborne pathogens like Hepatitis or HIV, posing a risk to the workers. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) sets several standards regarding worker safety regarding risks from bloodborne pathogens. This course discusses OSHA standards and how workers and employers must follow them.Instructor Description
: This class is an independent-study course. Students will have all the resources needed to successfully complete the course within the online material. A student helpdesk is available for technical support during the course enrollment.
