Short Description: Workers in many industries are regularly exposed to infectious agents. In health care, workers should practice universal precautions to prevent the spread of disease to themselves and others. Workers in other industries, though, can also inadvertently spread disease to customers and patrons. This course discusses infection control techniques that help prevent others from being infected by diseases and illnesses.

Instructor Description: This class is an independent-study course.  Students will have all the resources needed to successfully complete the course within the online material.  A student helpdesk is available for technical support during the course enrollment.

Requirements
Internet Access:
Broadband or high-speed internet access is required. Broadband includes DSL, cable, and wireless connections.

Mac computers:
Mac OS X 10 or higher
MUST have Microsoft Window Operating Systems over Bootcamp (Bootcamp is a free download from Apple''s website)
